about us
About Lillie's Five-and-Dime: Hi! Our little store grew out of our tiny card business, five-and-dime posts. We started by selling notecards that we had created as a project for the non-com website, www.yumfuji.com, and/or as homemade valentines sent to friends on 14th of Feb. 2002. Then, we started making coin purses and other sewn items. Both the cards and the sewn items show off our love for retro-stylings and use our collection of found photos, 1950s textbooks, new/old fabric, and vintage ribbons/buttons. Some of our collection winds up in the vintage sections of the site. So, stay tuned for new old stuff and new new stuff including knit goods, recycled thrift finds, and silk screen/silk screen-like products.

About Lillie: The Lillie of "Lillie's Five-and-Dime" is and isn't Lillian Lovich. It is in that she's the one that designs/makes everything [including the website]. And it isn't because the store is named after her grandmother- her middle name was Lillian/Lillie. When Lillian, i.e., the one that makes the stuff, isn't making the stuff, she's prolly wishing she could buy a farm/house where she can raise champion chickens.
